The problem

Harbor Point processes about 1,200 building permits a year. Today, applicants email plans, the front desk emails inspectors, inspectors text contractors, and certificates of occupancy get typed up in Word. Nothing's tracked, fees get missed, and the median permit takes 38 days. Harbor Point's published target is 21.

The Nintex shape

A single Nintex Apps portal replaces the paper-based process. Applicants self-serve, plans are appropriately triaged and routed to the right reviewer by permit type, fees calculate on submission, inspections book themselves into the inspector's mobile calendar, and the certificate of occupancy is automatically generated. Nintex Workflow orchestrates the pipeline; Nintex Apps is the portal layer; DocGen handles the CofO.

Compliance. Built on a responsive framework with WCAG 2.1 compliance.
